B2B Meeting between Georgian and Uzbek Tourism Professionals. On 12 August 2026, as part of the FamTrip to Uzbekistan, a productive B2B meeting was held in Tashkent, between 10 Georgian tour operators – members of the Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) and leading Uzbekistan travel organizations. The meeting was organized by the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee and provided an excellent opportunity for tourism professionals from both countries to connect, exchange experiences, present their tourism products, and explore new business opportunities.12/08/2026

GTA Member Travel Companies Explored Uzbekistan At the invitation of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, representatives of the member travel companies of the Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) participated in a familiarization trip to Uzbekistan, visiting the country's two iconic destinations – Tashkent and Samarkand, 14-17/08/2026. The program provided an excellent opportunity to explore Uzbekistan's tourism products, cultural heritage, accommodation facilities, gastronomy, and hospitality industry while establishing new professional connections and strengthening existing partnerships.

The National Tourism Awards organized an international workshop on strategic leadership. The Executive Leadership Workshop is a one-day intensive program for tourism and hospitality professionals. The workshop was led by international experts: Harry Johnson and Nitin Tarian, who shared with the participants the latest international practices in the field of artificial intelligence, commercial efficiency and strategic leadership. Georgia Tourism Association (GTA) successfully held the first meeting of its Education & Skills Committee, bringing together representatives from the tourism and hospitality industry, educational institutions, government agencies, and international partners.The Committee has been established to strengthen collaboration between education and industry, ensuring that Georgia develops the skilled workforce needed for a competitive, innovative, and sustainable tourism sector.The Committee agreed on the next steps, including the development of a one-year Action Plan address key priorities for the sector.
