GTA Education & Skills Committee – Working Meeting The Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) Education & Skills Committee held its next working meeting,30/09/2026,focusing on Work-Based Learning (WBL) pathways in tourism and hospitality. The meeting focused on three key areas of Work-Based Learning: internships, apprenticeships, and mentoring. Committee members discussed the role of WBL in strengthening practical skills, improving the transition from education to employment, and better aligning education and training provision with the current and future needs of the tourism and hospitality sector.

The Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) and VOYA Magazine have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)! The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in promoting Georgia’s tourism and hospitality sector internationally, developing joint projects and communication initiatives, and showcasing Georgia’s tourism potential to international audiences.
Members of the Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) Education & Skills Committee Sign the Terms of Reference An important milestone in the work of the GTA Education & Skills Committee was marked by the formal signing of the Committee’s Terms of Reference (ToR) by its members. The Committee brings together 20 representatives from private, public, and international organizations. The signing process is being carried out in stages. Through the signing, Committee members reaffirmed their shared vision, commitment and responsibility to work together on strengthening education and skills development in Georgia’s tourism and hospitality sector.
On 1 October, the Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) Education & Skills Committee held a working meeting. The main focus of the meeting was the Committee’s Action Plan and mechanisms for its implementation. Participants discussed key objectives, responsible persons, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and funding needs required to deliver the Committee’s planned activities. The meeting helped define concrete priorities and areas of action that will guide the Committee’s future work and contribute to stronger links between education, skills development and the needs of the tourism and hospitality industry.
