Heads of Committees of Georgian Tourism Association -GTA

Exciting News! Our research on "Professional Skills Needs’ Assessment in Tourism and Hospitality Sector," conducted by the Georgian Tourism Association, has been published in the esteemed peer-reviewed scientific journal "Research Reviews." This achievement was presented at the 3rd International Scientific Conference held in Prague, Czech Republic on August 3-4, 2023. Certificates of appreciation were given to all six professional colleges implementing dual programs in tourism and hospitality, for their successful cooperation with the Georgian Tourism Association. The Georgian Tourism Association will continue cooperation with TVET colleges in the future, in order to support professional education in the country. The development of dual professional education in the direction of tourism and hospitality will make a significant contribution to the promotion of professions and sustainable development in Georgia.

Georgian Tourism Association organized the final conference of the project „Support to the Development of Dual TVET in the Tourism Sector“, on 1 August 2023, at The Biltmore Tbilisi Hotel.The conference was supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Ministry of Education. The event was attended by members of the association, representatives of the Ministry of Education, EQE, Skills Development Agency, Parliament, GIZ, GCCI, GNTA, donor and partner organizations, higher education institutions, and professional colleges.

Georgian Tourism Association hosted a next Networking event for its members. The results of the ongoing activities, future plans, and communication between members were the main purpose of the networking event. Host hotel member of the association –Hilton Garden Inn Riverview. Many thanks to each member of the association for their activity, contribution to the development of the association, and tourism in general. We are strong together.

On July 25 of this year, a meeting with the heads of the committees of the Georgian Tourism Association was held at the Holiday Inn Express Tbilisi Avlabari Hotel. At the meeting, the action plan of the committees and the activities of the nearest period were discussed. There are 12 target committees in GTA. The committees are headed by the directors of the member organizations of the association

3 new members have joined the Georgian Tourism Association. Currently, there are a total of 188 members in the association.
